We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Shift Manager to lead our groundwood mill and paper machine teams working a rotating four-on, four-off roster.
About you:
- A strong people leader who has the tools and ability to motivate your team to safetly meet and exceed production targets
- An industrial or manufacturing background and technical understanding of heavy manufacturing equipment to give you a solid base to learn the technical components of our plant, although you will reply on your team to be the technial experts
- Enjoy a challenge and be able to keep a cool head while making critical decisions that have a direct imparct on our profitabilty
- You’ll have strong communcaiton skills that will allow you to get the right message across, in the right way at the right time, to all levels of the business
As a Shift Manager, you will;
- lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations to achieve our business objectives.
- be working closely with your team every day to ensure compliance to standards,
- have a passion for developing people and strong coaching and mentoring skills
- be highly engaged in ensuring health and safety, environmental, quality and production targets are met
- have a high level of computer literacy and written communication skills to report on these daily
- potentially have a relevant trade or tertiary qualification or experience in pulp and paper or continuous production process environment, though this is not a requirement
